Our History

Unity Printing Company, Inc. was founded in 1979 by James Ernette. Over the years, the acquisition of several small printing companies contributed to the company’s growth and established it as a leader in the market.

Today Unity Printing is under the direction of Ernette’s daughter, Lisa Frederick, and her husband, G. Joseph (Joe) Frederick. In 2014, the company achieved certification as a woman-owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

Entering its fourth decade as a full service printing company, Unity Printing is proud to welcome the family’s third generation to the business: Ashley Frederick, daughter of Lisa and Joe, recently completed her degree in Family Enterprise from Stetson University, and now works full-time for Unity Printing. Joe and Lisa also have a son, Cole, who works for the business part-time while attending the University of Pittsburgh.

Located just south of Latrobe along Route 981 in Westmoreland County, Pa., the company’s facilities are comprised of over 20,000 square feet of office, production, and warehouse space.
