File Submission Tips

Preparing digital material for offset printing is a complex and exacting science. It is very different from making and printing a file from your personal computer. If it is not done properly, the results can be unpredictable. If you choose to produce and submit files yourself, we will do our best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee that the results will be satisfactory.

  • Most graphics programs are acceptable, but PDF's are the preferred file format.

  • Images and colors that touch the edge of the page require a 1/8" bleed.

  • Colors should be converted to either CMYK, Spot, Grayscale, or Black and White.

  • Resolution for images should be 300 ppi at 100%.

  • Graphic or image files should be EPS, TIFF, or JPEG, but others are acceptable.

  • Fonts should be included with native files, or converted to outlines / paths.
